Default Looking to pick up a set of ZR-1's, questions.

Alright, well my Z06's sold and now I'm looking into getting a set of ZR-1's to put on my T/A. I would like to get the 17x11's in the rear as opposed to the 9.5's but from what I've been reading everyone with the ZR1 17x11's are having to roll the fenders with a 315 tire. I'm not sure if I am comfortable with rolling my fenders. What are you guys' experience with the ZR-1's? I am looking at either the Nitto 555R, Hoosier DR, or MT's though they're on backorder like forever... All sizes would be 315's. Will I have to roll the fenders with these tires? What other suggestions would you guys have? By the way, the car is not and will not be lowered.

Thanks,
Drew

I have 17/11 ZR1 wheels with the grand sport offset with 315s. My car is not lowered and I did not have to roll the lip or do anything else to make them fit.

I'm also starting to think that if the car isn't lowered you might be able to get away with not rolling the fender. Is this true?

You do not have to roll the fenders, if you keep the car at stock height.

what about with a 335? I'm looking at a Hoosier 335 tire. Tread width is 12.4". If I keep it at stock height will I have to roll the fenders? I don't mind beating on the inner fender a little bit... I know I'll have to do that.

Cant help ya on the 335s, but I am almost 100% sure you will have to do some work to make them fit without rubbing.

Just put the 17x11's on my car, stock height no modification necesary, just the wheels hit the bump stops if you jack up the car by the frame, have to jack up by rear end. The camaros have a smaller wheel well than the birds too, so don't listen to camaro guys who say they won't fit.

Discount told me they are backordered.
Called Nitto and verified.

Not a big deal for me, just saying.

I ordered 315 555R's on Monday of this week and got them on Wednesday from Discounttiredirect fwiw.

They did say the 315 555's weren't going to be available for a couple months though.

I just checked tiredirect. Low, but they have some. I will have to call Discount and tell them.
