Default white smoke after cam swap

Just did a cam swap and I know I gotta get a tune but is it normal to have a little white smoke? it's comming from my tailpipe and it's just a littlt bit. When it warms up it goes away. could this be from the misfires. I filled my radiator up with green coolant before I knew You should put the dexicool in. so I switched it out today. Didn't know if that had anything to do with it.

White smoke usually indicates coolant is being burned. Blue smoke is typical for oil burning.

Can't believe it. I took off the valve cover on one side and 6 of the 8 valve stem seals were not even seated. Guess I didn't put them on properly, so I reseated them and tapped them down on there now theres not much smoke at all, so I'll get to the other side tommorow. Thanks guys.

+1

Your loose valve stem seals wouldn't cause a "WHITE" smoke issue. White smoke is coolant...not oil burning. Do a pressure test on your cooling system to see if you have a head gasket sealing issue.

Did you damage the seals? Are you certain you got them reseated and they are in good shape?

The seals were fine just, like new when I reseated them. Maybe it's just they are cheap? I got them in a cam package from TSP there the blue and grey ones. I crunk it up today and it looked alot better just a tad bit of smoke maybe they'll seat there self over time. Just in case it is the seals where can I buy a really good set, because taking those springs off is a pain in the ***.
