My door sticker says my car weighs 4230 pounds!! That is a lot how come everybody else says their cars weigh about 3800 pounds. Even without the slp package the car was still 4200 pounds?

That is an approx. weight with the car full. The average weight is between 3500-3800lbs. i have just read it on another post. Don't trust the door sticker.

For about 5 bucks you can get your car weighed at almost any truck stop that has certified scales. Be sure to put the front and rear axles on different scales so you can get the weight distribution. Also, decide if you want to be included in the weight of the car so they can take the reading when you are in/out of the car. This is the weight I enter into my G-tech.. :drive:

The 4230 figure is your max gross weight.Meaning with people and cargo that is the most you should safely weigh.Your car should weigh around 3600 lbs.

weighed my 2000 SS A4 this weekend and found it was 3450 without me ,put my fat axx back in and it went to 3636 with a little less than 1/2 tank of gas and no weigh reduction of any kind done. Weighed at the race track for free.

My old 98 SS M6 was 3475 w/o me... Had leather and t-tops, 12 disc.

My 98 Formula A4 was 3400 even with no t-tops, 16 plain wheels, cloth seats, no 12 disc.
