i need a new clutch! please help
i have a 2001 trans am and am making about 460 horsepower to the wheels. I am looking at the Zoom D2 twin disk clutch with an aluminum fly wheel. Does anyone know if this clutch is good or do you know of something else i should look at?

i wouldnt do a alum flywheel. id stick to billit or steel. I did the Textrailia Z grip in mine and love it. rated to 750 rwtq and is a good street driver. 0 noise plus comes balanced and ready to throw in.

A steel flywheel setup is also avialable in the D2 Twin from Zoom.
Here is something out of the ordinary but may give one confidence in choosing a clutch that can take abuse.
Mike Peters is a professional drifter and his weapon of choice may appear to be a Nissan 240, but it packs a LS Magnacharged power plant that we thought would be a great test bed for a Zoom D2 twin disc clutch set up.
Now for those that have not had seat time in a drift car you should know that 'clutch kicking' is one of three techniques of initiating a drift. You'll see Mike doing so... at over 6000RPM in this video link!
PS. He installed this Twin Disc over a year ago and is still running it today!
Enjoy!

If anyone that has not thought of a clutch system yet or has newly added a power adder... may want to keep Zoom as an option.
