Northwest Members - It Lives!

Got the TA fired up a few minutes ago. So aft the only issue is a water leak from teh cross-over pipe on the back of the drivers side head. Seems the gasket fell off during install. Now if I can just get my fat hand back there to install a new one I'll do the intial heat cycle....:bang:

But the good news is it fired right up. Took it a minute to find idle & get oil pressure but then it ran fine. :D

Mine is sitting on all 4 wheels for the first time in months. I did a rough alignment and set the thrust angle on the rear. Next week the engine is in and it goes to Sean at Racecraft for new headers.

Yesrriee, and after hooking up the IAC tube & screwing the fuel regulator in an inch it's starting to sound pretty nasty.....aat least the dogs are scared & shit is falling on the floor all over the house & garage.....I take those to be GOOD signs. :devil:

It does have a 2nd coolant leak. Looks like one of the block drain plugs above the oil filter this time.

Today I re-tq'd the head bolts, changed the oil, almost got he oil leak fixed. Down to a s..l..o..w drip now. And I got this installed. All I need now is the SDCE bracket to get here & with a few hrs mod time & the F1 will be on the car. :devil:

And then you have Aaron's car that WILL run 8s on juice. Plus there is Ellis who always has something up his sleeve. And Don who has done a complete make-over of the Duece. Then there are a couple of Vette guys that have stepped it up. And a few more that could contend (Hockey Stripes, a GTO, my old car ;) ).

Thats between you guys, I never like to race for money. When theres money involved someones feelings always get hurt (mine..LOL) so I shy away from it.

Besides, I am going to be severely handi-capped by my wheel/tire combination this year. Unless I get to make some runs on some borrowed Bogarts/QTPs.

Hell on the 17's I might not even break 9.50 this year.

It's the same hood I have had on the car for eight years. That picture was taken weekend before last right before going out for a drive.....in the snow (Notice the toothy grin?). Like I said, a real street car.

i have seen alot of cars that have chutes but that don't make them fast, more of a requirement....but in ryans case i would expect to see some fast times if it will hook up

And I have a Be-Cool dbl core radiator with an ext oil & tranny cooler.

I thought I remembered you installing it a while back. Well if you decide to upgrade Ron Davis has an external cooler that will drop the oil temp 100* is what they see in Artizona. Not sure how efficent your current one is. You could run their fbod regular radiator and use the cooler with it. Just throwing it out there... in case Chad talks you into selling your stuff to him :jest: He's going to be looking to upgrade his cooling I would think... :)
