Default Oil Temp Gauge Install

Does anyone know where i can tap my oil temp gauge in my motor besides the oil pan, its an lt1, has anyone done this before and do you have any pics, thanks

based on your second post, it sounds like you already know where you are gonna put it. The pan would be a great place.
easy would be the port above the oil filter. can't guarantee the readings though - I have never done this.

I have the same problem, i didnt want to tap my pan and I already had an oil pressure guage in the port above the oil filter.
Right now I'm planning on just tapping the drain plug and putting the sensor there with a connector on the wire for when i change the oil.
