Default Help with 383 cid cost !!!!

I have used the search but didnt get exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and I am going to call LME tomorrow but Im anxious so I thought I would ask.

I want to get a quick rundown of price of a 383 stroker kit which includes callies crank, manley rods and pistons, ARP bolts, ARP main studs, my choice of cam, and oil pump, and whatever else I may have missed. I already have a good set of AFR 205 59cc heads so thats why Im not considering a 402 cid +.

Basically I just want to know the price of the machine work on my LS1 block and the parts for the shortblock. I pretty much have the rest of my build priced out. Thanks guys

Chris

Why not just sell your heads and cam and go big

Well I'm gonna be running a 150 shot on top of it so I'm not really worried about big. I wanna just use my existing block and do the least amount of selling as possible cuz its a hassle

I'm doing a similiar build right now....about 4K for the rotating assy and machine work if you use all top end parts. I'm not taking any shortcuts and thats where i'm at. After tuning and all the misc gaskets, a new cam, plus I'm upgrading my injectors I will be at about 5K...

Yea, thats about right 5k, i got a 346 from LME for 4100, but that was more than the shortblock, headstuds, mainstuds, the good rods, oil pump, and a double roller. I think he said it was like another 900 or something for the 383 crank

Because he is going to have to buy a new set of heads and cam again. Makes no sense.

For the OP, you should not spend more than 5K on that build. Make sure you post the results.

Yeah thats about right BUT im not buying a new block. I want mine machined and then forged/stroked. I know how much all the new stuff cost, but I wanna know what it cost if I dont get a "new" block
