Default Scoggin Dickey Camshaft

has anyone used the scoggin dickey camshaft that has replaced the hot cam? the specs are 218/230 duration 112 lsa with .528/.544 lift. seems like it would be a pretty decent cam for a daily/strip car. man, choosing a cam is a very tough job. it seems i can't make up my mind. just when i thought i had one picked out, i always seem to find something else.

How do you want your car to drive? Does it need to pass emissions?

not too worried about emissions. i want a fun and reliable daily driver with a modest increase in horsepower.

Me personally, I would go with the Crane 104227 if you don't go with the hot cam. Good low to mid range power with a little extra top end when needed. Great for a daily driver and no problems passing emissions. Good luck!

The Crane as mentioned in here at one time held a track record for cam and heads only. Not sure if that record is still holding or not. Anyone know???

I think I remember that. Takes some work and $$ to shed that weight. I need to find me a scale and get weighed.
