Default lifters wont stay up

ok im in the middle of my cam swap right now but i cant get the lifters to go up im spining the cam but its really not doing anything i cannot put in the wooden dowel any advice on this or what do i do

push them back down with a push rod, you should feel it hit the cam, then try spinning it again...

Use pen magnets. The type they sell at the counter of most autoparts stores. They are on a thin (pushrod diameter size) telescoping rod. They have "shirt hooks" (like a pen which is why they are called pen magnets) that you can use to stretch out to keep on the head and keep the lifters up...

if your using the metal robs i would just say wigggle it in but with the wooden rods i wouldnt recomend it. . you could use that pen magnet might help but the cam should push them up all the way .
