Default Help with this problem

94 Z28 M6, about 121K, new clutch and flywheel work done about 20K ago. Recently been having a problem with the car refusing to go easily into gear (any gear) when at a standstill (with the engine running). Now, when I put the car into first gear as I'm about to stop at a red light/stop sign (5MPH or so), no problem. But once the car comes to a complete stop, forget it, or it takes many tries. Shifting while driving is no problem, other than there seems to be an occasional clunk when going into 3rd and 4th gears.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Check your fluid level and change the fluid if it's black. Bleed the system. See if either of those help.

There should be a allen head in the slave on your LT1. You can bleed it there. If not, you have to use the factory fill method, lile a mity-vac to bleed it.
Check & make sure your not leaking/loosing clutch hydraulic (brake) fluid.
Check the master where the rod comes into the car from the firewall & connects to the pedal for leakage.
You most definfiately sound like you have hydraulic issues there.
