Something is wrong with your car. Are you up to date on all of your maintenance?

You said the heads melted on the block, correct? Im guessing you prob had the heads milled or something along those lines, correct? Or did you just buy a new set of heads?

If the heads aren't sealing onto the block, I would guess your losing compression bc of it, which would cause and issue. I would just hope that the head gasket will keep water from getting into the cylinder.. Not for sure if this is your issue or not.

For 1300, you could have had Stage 2 heads installed.

My near stock 96z runs 14.2 at 96mph with shot plugs. You should be doing 13s for sure at pretty far over 100mph. You are down like 100 horses. Unless your track is much higher than ours. Ours is 1600 feet above sea level. Most stock six speeds here are running like 13.7 ish. Talking the heavier tas. The lighter z28s and SS are usually like 13.5.You have serious issues with your car. If the engine is good your clutch is likely finished.
Check compression maybe leakdown if compression is bad. Any check engine lights?
Change fuel filter, plugs, mabye badly clogged cats? Bad fuel pump. something is killing your mph and your et. Mph shows true power best though. Et can be driving and traction.
