Switched cams to a G5X3, new #'s
I finally decided to switch to a more agressive cam. I was running a reverse split 228/222 cam from Speed Inc. I made 393rwhp with that cam with full boltons, and through a SS3600 stall.
I now have the G5X3 on a 112lsa, with the same bolt ons, same SS3600 stall, but I added a Fast 90mm intake and 90mm NW tb, Fast 36# injectors, a TSP 85mm lid and a Delphi 85mm MAF.
The new numbers are 420rwhp, 378rwtq.
Not bad for a full bolt on, cam only, automatic car.

It seems you should have made more power then that with the swap to the g5x3. What rpms did you set your rev limiter at?? That beast peaks around 7 grand. That was the biggest reason I switched. Is the 90 combo ported ?? If not you left a good 10+ rwhp on the table. OK enough with the criticism, glad to see you went with one of LG Motorsports most popular cams. I bet you love the way she pulls from 3000 rpms !!!! I know I did. I'd recommend that cam to anyone, however I am a bit partial to version II of the g5x3. Comes on sooner and carries all the way to the rev limit.

that's awesome, kinda makes me mad I only made 412rwhp and 368rwtq with a G5x4 through an M6, and 10bolt with 4.10's. Stock heads as well. Sometimes I think I should have went smaller and made better torque.

based off what I remember on your graph your shift point is probably in the 6600 area and rev limiter 7K
The trans will go at some time no matter what...you will be in good shape if your trans was put together the same day as my fathers stocker was

You still got great numbers. I'd inquire about version II though. You did buy from LGM right ?

Let me be clear, LGMotorsports designed the g5x4 with one thing in mind, MAX PERFORMANCE. You won't see that unless you have all supporting mods. Better heads, exhaust, etc etc. Any missing piece makes this big lift, long duration cam less then optimized. Been affiliated with LGM for a few years now and I feel its my duty to straighten out misinformation that gets posted. Finish your combo and you too will be in the 470-500 range brother. Good luck.
