Default Cam Install question

Ive searched through threads but none answered my question, When installing a cam on an LT1, do you need to remove the engine or is there enough room to do it in the engine bay without removing the engine?

Nah, you don't have to pull the motor. Just the radiator and it'll go in. I didn't put mine in but I know he didn't pull the motor.

The motor does not have to come out. I personally don't know one person that has taken the engine out to do that job, its not THAT bad. Go to shbox's website it explains how to remove and install a cam.

you need to remove rad, remove or tilt the a/c rad out of the way, lower oil pan, remove opti + waterpump, air intake, and timing cover, remove timing set, and personally I had to remove my hood latch mechanism b/c the damn cam had like 1/16 of an inch to go before it came out but was hitting at the latch no matter what i did so i took it off 2 easy bolts lol...
