Default car is too high

i have noticed recently that my car sits much higher than a normal stock camaro ss. there is a massive gap at the wheel wells on the front and i compared it to a couple other stock camaros and its a good inch and a half higher than normal and it looks terrible. i recently swapped an ls6 into my car. im not sure what the weight difference is between and ls1 and an ls6 so that may have something to do with it, but im pretty sure it always seemed higher. anyone else have a problem like this?

The ls1 and the ls6 should weigh about the same. Some ss have the suspension package, which makes them lower from the factory, so maybe your car seems high compared to them.

You could remove the isolator ontop of the spring in the back but not sure about the front. maybe its time for some lowering springs.

ive got a guide in my sig, just copy and paste my sig is kinda messed up now.

When you swapped engines did you change anything else? anything that cuts weight on the nose will tend to raise it up quite a bit like removing ARI ,EGR, Lt headers, removing front sway bar, hood.. etc. etc..

How is this relevant to External engine? The weight of the LS1 to the LS6 is hardly a difference. Moving to suspension section.

Measure from the top of the fender to the ground on the front and rear and post the measurements.

To give you a comparison, my SS Camaro has a 28" fender gap on the driver side front and rear. The passenger side is 27.75" front and rear.

These measurements are with stock shocks and springs.

My 98 SS measures 28 1/2 on left front and back, and 27 3/4 on right. I just put the stock springs back under it. I had vogtland 30mm lower springs, but I am old school and like the muscle car 4x4 look.
