Definitely talk him down. Miles are way too high for a price like that. And obviously, people start at a higher price than they expect to get.

Give him a price (the $16k you like) and walk away for a week. I don't think it's worth that much but if that's the price you're willing to pay, then it is.

i think you got a point, the car is nice but a touch on the high side for the miles. i think once the car hits 50k there is only so far clean cars can go, i expect mine to fetch 19k easily. and i expect to take nothing less if and when i sell it.

True, I agree obviously on that point. Garage kept is nice over 6 years, but you still drove it for 50k+ miles outside.

As far as your car, you may find that if you put it on the market for that price, it may be there for months, or someone may ****** it up quick. We can use all the calculators we want, but the true test is what someone pays for it.

Back on topic, it is rare that someone puts their car up for sale for a really great price UNLESS there are some underlying factors (he knows of problems, he needs the money, pending divorce, etc.). So when I see a starting price of $19k, and everything looks cool, I think $15k, and we'll work from those 2 points.

I personally feel if a car is priced out of the market, they should keep it, because it means that much more to them.

Just my opinion.

yea he offered him 15 or 16.. and he said that was a bit low so we told him to sit on it and give us a call in a few weeks if he does not sell it. Also i think as the new camaros are gogin to come out the old ones are going to drop siginfiantly in price. Its tought to let your baby go for less than you want especially after all teh teim you put into her. I think that ls1's are going to be stayign constient around 13-16k depending on year and condition. I saw one the other day it had 120k on the clock and he wanted 15k... as much as we invest in our cars with mods unless the right person comes along that appreciates those thigns we will never sell our cars for what we put in them..i dont even know where I am goign with this..

If he comes back to you at $16k in a week (he'll probably say $16.5-$17k), let him know you no longer have that much available and if he could come down some. Don't say "a little", and don't give him a price, let him state the # first.

Again, just my opinion.

It's worth what you think it's worth. It's a touch high but if its one owner and a older guy I'd tell him to drop the price some and snag it. Looks like it has been taken care of

If it's a car thet you've always wanted and would never sell it price doesn't matter as much. I wanted a SS, but my wallet wouldn't allow it so I'm rolling a Z-28. I have no regrets, got it for $9,500.00 and it only had 51 k and was bone stock
