Tell me what you guys think about this...

We pulled this motor out for an engine swap and were going to re-use this until we noticed the problem. What do I do now???

Almost looks like someone tried to pull it once, get a new one especially since its an easy swap right now. New front seal too.

If you want to go the budget route, I have a used stock balancer & belts that are in good condition. PM me if you are interested.

rdmelton... thinking about it, thanks.

though I'm thinking of getting a U/D system. I'll be small cam, turbo, & DD setup. does anyone know if I will benefit of an aftermarket or stay stock? I don't see the need to pick up an extra 5 hp, if any, for $170. why would I want to go aftermarket?

Pulley won't make much of a difference on a dyno, it will at the track though.

With the motor out of the car, a Powerbond is keyed and you can use the ATI kit to pin the crank.
