Default daily driver help needed

Vehicle: 1995 ford ranger, 2.3 I4, 5spd manual, 2 coils, 8spark plugs

Problem: Driving along everything was normal when the engine aburptly died with no warning. Coasted to a stop, engine cranks over fine but will not start. I can hear the fuel pump cycle when the key is rolled over, and there is pressure at the fuel rail. Ran a code scan with DIY scanner, and it pulled no codes.

[B]Ideas[B] : I think it might be ignition related, but i am stumped as to where to proceed.

Any help would be great

thanks
