Anyone at Fort Sam Houston or have Info? Just as states. I want to re-enlist for a different duty station and this one along with a few others caught my eye.

I've never met anyone that deployed from there. I'm not saying that no one does, I'm just saying I've never heard of anyone deploying from there. What's your MOS?

Well, you will have a job for sure. Fort Sam is set up to be very large in the next 3 years. Due to BRAC, Tri-service medical will be taught there, so look to see an influx of about 6000 people over the next 3 years. A huge medical campus is being built right now, and will be fully operational by mid 2011. I am hoping to move down there with the Air Force, and set up our dorms and military training.

If you want post in the TX section and see what people say about S.A. Its a damn good place to live and its where Im moving after I ETS.
Good luck on getting Ft Sam. Id go talk to the recruiter and see if its open to your MOS. Im a 68W (medic) and it wasnt even open for me.
