Default Urgent!! How do I remove winshield wiper arms?

I'm trying to take off my 3 pt strut tower brace for an ls6 manifold install. now I need to remove the plastic by the windshield wipers but I need to remove the arms first. I already took the nut off but can't get the arm off tried the battery post remover tool but all it did was chip my hood. I need help removing this asap.
thanks in advance

Heres a lil trick i used with mine. I took a razor blade and made an incision straight-up over the arm then they slipped right off. No one will ever see the cut and you save the hassle of popping the arms off lol.

I thought putting the 3pt on was a bad idea cause it could lead to a cracked windshield....
