Default Where to get heater hose for hose mod?

I know this might be a stupid question but I'm planning on doing Konis on the lower perch and the hose mod but I don't know where to get the heater hose at. Also what size hose? I've heard 5/8.

Any parts store has bulk hose... I'd recommend something a little more robust than heater hose, something more like hydraulic of fuel injection pressure hose.

If it's any more convenient, most Ace Hardwares carry it by the foot.

Another stupid question. By Fuel Injection Pressure Hose, do you mean just regular Fuel Hose that you can get at Autozone or is there is it thicker specialty hose?

I'm not actually doing springs. I'm just getting Konis, putting the front strut on the lower perch, and doing a hose mod. Thanks for the info though. When and if I decide to do springs I will put my isolators back in.

Just did the heater hose mod last night. Used 5/8" heavy duty heater hose. Parts stores or hardware stores should have it. May have to spray a little lube in the hose to slide on easier. Oddly enough, doing the mod also got rid of annoying clunk I was hearing in the rear. I think it was coming from the x pipe hitting the torque arm. Since the exhaust is mounted to the body it added just enough clearance. Not something I meant to do, but nice side benefit.

Thanks for the info. What shocks are you running?
