Default 13.061 Lid/Catback only A4

Went to the track a few weeks ago with the new car. 01 Formula with an SLP loudmouth catback and the SLP lid. Everything else is untouched. It was also on some junk, mismatched winter tires. Full weight(spare tire, leather, t-tops, etc.)

My best ET and MPH of the day was 13.061 and 109.22 mph. 60' stayed right at 2.07-2.08 on all 6 passes(actually I think it went up to 2.14-.15 on the two 13.17 passes, I'll have to look again)...Wheel hopping and spinning into 2nd every time. I had to stall it up just a little and then roll into the throttle to keep it from hopping too horribly.

It was also pretty consistent too. 13.06-13.07 on 4 back to back passes. My very first pass and the very last pass, I spun bad and went 13.17 each time.

But anyways, I'm kind of interested to see what it will do with drag radials and hopefully a 1.8x 60'. 12.70-12.80s?

without a stall i think drag radials will just slow you down!
the car is gunna hook, and your not gunna be able to spin the tire fast enough to get a good 60ft and 1/4 time. i say do a stall, then the tires, and you will notice a HUGE difference

Stall is coming soon hopefully. I broke the 4l60 about 1.5 weeks after I went to the track, so that's gotta get fixed too.

Well done... I could see a 12.7 ~ 12.8 pass on DRs ...I've heard of a 12.6 pass from an M6 SS on just Drag Radials.

yea but that was an m6!
theres a difference you can only stall the rpms up so high with a stock stall. in a m6 you can raise the rpms as much as u want.

It sucks because I wasn't even beating on it when it broke. I was doing 25mph in traffic and it was just completely gone. Still has reverse though.

Good times for those mods. Might as well get a nice stall with your new trans!

Good runs, the 01/02 cars kick some butt. DRs might help a little but don't air them down too much cause it shouldn't be necessary and it will slow down your MPH. Try 25 psi and a decent burnout.

My buddy was running 17-18psi in M/T 26" d/r's and he was cutting 1.8x 60's with a stock stall. My 60' should drop a bit if I can eliminate the wheel hop. I don't mind if it spins a little, but it hopped into 2nd when I floored it off the line.

when i threw on slicks and skinnies and stock stall i couldnt get a better 60ft then 2.0. stalling it as high as i could. and a few times my car bogged. ive seen a few people get alil slower times with sticky tire in an automatic and no stall. but hopefully u can do better. but since your getting a new tranny myswell get a nice size stall.

When I was running 11.8s at 115 w/a 1.63 60' in my 98Z it was on Nitto DRs at 25 psi. I tried running 17-18 psi and it hooked the same but my mph went down 1. Tell him to try more air in his DRs, he shouldn't need 17-18 psi with a stock stall.

This was last summer. He no longer has a stock stall. it should leave good this year.

No clue. I'm guessing 3.23. It's right around 2100-2200 at 70-75 mph on the highway.

if your refering to my car it did 1.8x 60's with the DR's at normal psi and went 13.00 banging the revlimiter, the second time i went to the track i went 1.8x 60 ft again on 20psi and went 12.9x with the shift points set back and torque management removed i didnt think it was much of an improvement but anything better than nothing

Sounds like a 3.23 car. Check the RPO sheet on the end of the driver's door for GU2 (2.73) or GU5 (3.23).

I bet with if you put some suspension like control arms, panhard bar,sub frame connectors you could 60ft alot better. It should take care of the wheel hop. If your budget alows it I'd get a tourqe arm as well. If your looking for a tire look into the Nittos because there not super sticky to where you will bog down.

Damn boosted my car just trapped 107 with almost full bolt ons but still on the ls1intake. I do have a 98 however so its a little sluggish compared to the other cars 1.8 60ft was my best with a 3000stall and a bfg drag radial as well
