tranny problems only 1,2,r work well my car does reverse fine and then it goes into first eveything is fine and then into 2 and everythings fine and when the car shifts into 3rd its like the car is in neutral and the car just revs up when i put on the gas does anybody no what this would be and when i mash the gas when that happens it will downshift to 2nd just fine??? also if it matters i have a tci 3500 stall and H/C in the engine my car is a 98 z28 camaro thanks for the help

Unfortunatly it sounds like you have lost the 3-4 clutch set , Either the snap ing has broken out of the drum if this was sudden or if gradual the 3-4 clutch set has failed. In either case you will either be going into or replacing the unit, Sorry
