It is a pricey conversion for sure. There is a lot of work that goes into that whole conversion and the price tag comes with the R&D that went into it. Try to post this on the corvette forum. I believe there are a couple other companies that have done the conversion kit themselves. Vince

lmao.... I dont doubt the time and money put into researching that unit. But really? 27 thousand dollars for a transmission and some installation parts? I better get some sucky sucky and a lifetime warranty on everything on my car for that price. Thats ridiculous. Who has some petroleum jelly for the poor soul who buys this? He will need it.

For some guy's money is not an issue. I personally feel that the rear end is a weak link. I would probably back half one of those cars and put the trans where it belongs before dropping that kind of cash. Oh well for each his own. Vince

Yeah I could almost get a 25.5 Backhalf roller for almost that much. Then it would go really fast. Yeah ummm no. I will have to pass on the 4l80e.

save your money....first hand...I have one and paib 12,000. I had to put 3000.00 into it to get it right!

The picture isnt even correct. It uses a stock flexplate...not the one in the picture. The two piece tube needed to be changed to a one piece.

It has been a very frustrating install......and I was on my own!

Gearstar is the exclusive builder and sale point, as we have sold all Patents and rights to this 4L80-e C/5 C/6 transaxle conversion and Yank only builds the converters but was the products design team with help from the GM Motorsports Group.

The unit comes with a full 2 year warranty and 3 Year on the converter.

I actually just ordered 3 of these, one for my vette, one for my wife's vette, and the other to be used as a center peice for our kitchen table. You guys want one? I'll order another if you need me to, no problem.
