Don't need to swap them to know. The WS6's package didn't include springs, only a front sway bar and supposedly 'better' shocks.
What you are probably seeing is the stock 16" wheels are leaving more of a fender gap than the 17" WS6 wheels do.
If you want a cheap "fix" search "heater hose mod".

I always thought that 96-some 00 cars got different springs (1le content) but the mid 00-02's were regular V8 springs.

I think this is the wrong information. I am pretty sure the WS6 has higher rate springs. Don't know if it makes a difference for ride height though.

...According to the spring chart I have, the regular GM spring for v8 f-body cars and the 1LE spring should result in the identicle ride heights, however.

I think the 1LE rears are progressive from like 130-170 by the way...

The WS6s I'm pretty sure have the same springs as the normal TA's except for 1LE models..... I don't know exactly. Wasn't the later model 1LE packages made by SLP?

I don't think SLP ever touched the WS6, it was ASC. It's a diff. story for the camaros...

could be mistaken though but that's what i got

well my buddies car is stock suspension and he runs 6.12 in the 1/8 weve been working on it for a couple years now and i love the way his car works. hes got a ws6. i guess alot of it could be that a girl owned my car and its a auto so it doesnt have a history of bieng run hard and lauched hard so that could account for the springs bieng so "strong" in the back. no wear and tear sag.
