I dont know for sure but im thinking any muffler you put on thats only going to have 4cyl. running through it isnt going to sound the greatest IMO Ever think about doing something with an electric cut out or something so it would only be loud when its on all 8cyl and then you could close it when on 4, just my .02 cent im sure you could fab something up that would work.

from what i head flowmaster isnt very beneficial with the LS motors. i would suggest magnaflow or corsa, but ill agree that with only 4 cylinders any exhaust will sound bad.

I don't thimk that engine stays in 4 cylinder mode long enough to worry about the sound. The only time it goes into 4 cylinder mode is when it has no load on it like when it is coasting or going down hill. Try it and see what happens.

Actually, no, it won't sound bad. I have a 2007 Monte Carlo SS, 5.3 LS4 etc. Same thing. I wondered the same. Threw some Kooks Aero Chambers on there, killed the Resonator, and it sounds fine. When it drops in to 4 cylinder mode, there's no crackle, nothing, it just drops to a low burble, sounds kind of like a motorcycle. (A good motorcycle, not some ricer trash)
