MAJOR SPIN - BUT.. first time out to the track..
OK.. my car.
2001 SS Camaro 6-speed
12 Bolt Moser 4:10 gears
Wilwood Brakes all around..
D1SC Procharger Twin Intercooled
Conservative Tune 7.9 pounds of boost.
etc etc. No cage, street tires.
I car is at home- and im at school, so i didnt get the time slips out to prove, but will next week when i go home for those who might not believe..
What i was working with on tires are 295/35/18, but would not hook up..
First pass- starting out in 1st holding it at 3k,
dumped the clutch- spun hard, second spun but was getting out of it, third hooked hard, and 4th was ran out the back door at about 6000 rpm's(give or take a little) - rev limiter set at 6800..
Came out with a
2.68 60'foot
13.63 @ 122mph ... ya 122mph.. lol
Second pass- so dumping the clutch didnt work.. so granny it out of the hole...
1st- spinnage..
2nd- spin, but was not going to hook till i hit 3rd..
3rd- i missed third - mind you im used to 4speed cars- lol,so i popped that thing into 3rd.. hooked hard!
4th.. trap around 5800rpm..
came out with a
2.30 60'foot
13.30@ 120... ya 120.. missing 3rd gear..
So what my next project is to wait for the backorder of m/t dot street slicks to come into JEGS.. 238 racer special price a piece?? anyone wanna guess what itll run?? now.. mind you..
The owner who built this car, ran it 2 times as well.
the best pass he got out of it, with 17inch 305's street tires was a
1.98 60'foot
11.72 @ 125mph.. I was spinning forever with the 18s on it, but yet still ran 122mph.. Im curious.. but i dont wanna put a cage in it.. lol . . let me know guys what you think??

man, im not saying your a lier, its just not possible in a 6 speed, with 4.10 gears, in 4th gear to go over 114 mph at 6k rpms man. Its physically not possible, its gear limited. Perhaps your speedo wasnt recalibrated for the 4.10 gear??? I can link you up to a gear calculator, and you can enter it in yourself if you wish man.
http://www.f-body.org/gears/
go there, put in your tire size, select 98 m6 f body from the drop down list at the top (the 98-02 t-56 is the same gear ratio, so its fine), enter your rear gear ie. 4.10, and check it out.

at roughly 6500 rpms you would be at 123 mph. if you crossed the traps higher then 6k, then 122 is entirelly possible, im not saying that. Just at 6k rpms its not possible.

Congrats on the times, sounds like a nice setup Since you have a street car and not looking for a 6 point etc have you thought about a 3.73 gear with DRs to help hook? (It'll make a big difference)
With M&H Racemasters In my old 385ci formula I went 11.38 @124mph with the 3.73s, went to 4.10s and couldn't get below 11.80s but went 11.0s@127mph on slicks
