Default New best on stock short block!

Finally getting this thing to work with the Lingenfelter Launch Control. It has been a task getting the ATI 8" MRT in line. Old best on 4l60e and Yank 4000 in great air was 10.71 @ 126and its been a hard to meet or beat it. Got some decent air for this time of year in Texas so off to the track we went. Started the box at 3600 then went down in 200 increment till she ran

1.47
6.78@100.69
10.67@125.98

Also went

1.50
6.79@100.76
10.69@126.05

All this on year and a half old 28" tires. Ran 126.58 on a 10.75 run. This old set up just keeps ticking. I plan on rebuilding my QA1s to r specs, some 275# springs, lose some weight, get her scaled, and new tires of course by fall. I want to see how far I can push this car with this 100,000 mile stock shortblock in it.

Congrats on the new best. Was the track not hooking so you couldn't come out harder?

I kinda assumed by this post that he had to drop the 2step rpms to get the car off the line, and that he probably thinks he can do better than a 1.47 at some point.

he ran on a track that is worse than the street, I can hook better in the rain than I can on that p.o.s.
nothin like gettin squirly on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts in a bolt on auto with a stock stall and 3.23's on DR's

Yeah, those runs were at 2800. I need those QA1 Rs, some QA1 275 springs, get the weight were I want it so I can scale it and a better track. It does have more in it, just got to tweak it out.
