Fans don't turn off (Car is off) Help
Like the title says when I turn off my car I can still here both of the fans they are on low .To stop them I have to put the key back in the ignition and turn it to the on position but i don’t start it ,then the fans turns off. The fans only do it once and awhile. When the car is on both fans come on like normal . I recently put the diablo tune the car so I know the fans come on soon when the car is on. I have also lower my fan settings. I don’t know if that has anything to do with that.
Are my fans about to go out?
Is there a fuse about to go out?
Has anyone had this problem?

The PCM will keep the fans on with the key off if it sees an overheating condition for a couple minutes, or can be tuned to stay on for "X" minutes with car off - don't know if your predator can do that, and would probably happen all the time. Doesn't sound like a fuse or fan issue. What fan settings did you program in? I have mine set pretty low using an early model Predator and even after getting off the highway in Florida 95* heat they've never stayed on after turning the key off.

I have the 180* thermostat
Fan 1 on: 192
Fan 1 off: 187
Fan 2 on: 198
Fan 2 off: 193
I dont think the predator would do that if the car is off so i agree with you
I'm think it could be overheating as well but the temp gauge reads about 230 and we all know the gauges are wrong so it could be hotter
Im thinking i have air in my system causing the thermostat to open and close at wrong times and makes the car run hotter but the fans do their job and cool the car down to 210* on the gauge but it seems they are running all the time.
Fan 1 on: 192

Fan 2 on: 198
Fan 2 off: 193

If the dash gauge is reading about 230 I'd say you're overheating - see what your actual ECT is when it does that in real time data on Predator. Mine are set even lower than yours and a 160:
Fan 1: On 184/off 175
Fan 2: On 194/off 185
Agree it might be hotter than the gauge, can't remember the stock temp ECT to keep them on, thinking it's 274? when I looked it up in my '01 helms.

^thats possible. Happened to me when my coolant temp sending unit was going haywire - only the opposite happened - the car thought it was at -37* F so it was dumping fuel into the motor and wouldn't even start.

Relays cost money....save yours and swap the relays around.
You should be able to swap with the ABS, fog lamps, or other unimportant relay to test. If the problem goes away, shell out the $10 for a new relay.

According to the stock tune:
If you turn your car off and the coolant temperature is above 235, the fans will stay on for 150 seconds.
If the car does this often, bleed your coolant system to see if you have any air pockets trapped in your system. Air pockets = very hot coolant temperatures.

yes is normal if the car is hot .....i think it's 230 the fans will stay on for 2 minutes after the car is off.Sounds like you have air bubbles in your coolant. take the air bubbles out and it will fix the fans problem

I just replaced a badly swollen radiator hose, flushed my coolant and bled the air out multiple times.. I have never had the fans stay on when I turn the car off while it's hot though.

My problem was air in the system made my car run very hot so the fans would stay on for couple of mintues after the car was off. Once i fixed the overheat problem my fans dont to that.Maybe your t stat is bad. Is you car running hot?
