Default pulling tranny with solid motor mounts

any tips on pulling a tranny with solid motor mounts?

Lot of extensions, swivel sockets, and so on. Same as normal, you just wont be able to tilt the back of the motor down.

the tranny isnt really that bad, but the bellhousing is. i bought the swivel sockets, the short ones and still had problems. when you go to take the top bolts out the socket will hit the trans tunnel, i pulled the motor down as far as i could to get the socket on.

i have the spohn solids and i dropped the trans last night=this is confusing but pay attension...


take the bolts out where the m/m attaches the k member... replace a couple bolts with smaller diameter-quarter inch ones that are longer -put nuts on them but leave them loose...that allows you to drop the back of the motor toward the firewall... be careful to have the pan supported so you don't crack your manifold...you;ll like those bolts in there when you start pulling and twisting the trans..

I ussually loosen the motor mount bolts.
