13.78@105mph im happy :)
so i took my car to the track for the first time tonight Bone STOCK 2002 trans am ws6 m6 on bald tires. i guess it would be slipping the clutch(i pulled off like i would a stop light but with higher rpms) i dropped my tire presure to 20lbs ran a 14.007@105.5 spinnen off the light than missed third 15.xx @89mph lol than 14.059@104.xx than 13.78@105.xx and than steady 13.9's the rest of the night i never hooked up and i eventually dropped my pressure to 18lbs and spun some more lol. i guess i was trying to launch too hard. my sixty foots all sucked, slips are in car and forget exact numbers but they were all around 2.5ish. i was runnin at atco and it was my first time EVER racen and on top of that racing stick. not bad i read they are good for 13.3stock 1/4mile times so i figured thats with a 100lb driver so i added about 2tenths to that and figured i should be like 13.5ish (300lb driver) so 13.7 made me happy enough. i want to put radials on sooo bad but everyone is telling me e/t streets will blow my rear so what should i run? I was just so happy i had to post it up lol

CONGRATULATIONS! First time to track. Takes some getting used to. Shifting is the only way to go to the track. Auto. . .hit the gas and count to 13 or 12. Shifting like you said, sometimes you miss, sometimes you get it right.
Keep all your slips ?

Feels good, doesn't it?
She's got alot more left in her, trust me. Get a set of tires on the back, get that launch and shifting down, and watch the tenths shed right off. The auto's my saving grace.
You're knockin' 2.5s? Tons left on the table!
Can't wait to see how it runs when you get used to DA POWEH!!!!

I'm becoming a fan of ET Streets. . .
For shifting, have you got a dyno done or copy of dyno results for your car? if you car is BONE STOCK, you should be about a 13.2 give or take depending on where you're at (NJ - low altitude) and good track prep.

im getting a free cutout so i was going to do that a lid bellows and K&N filter and than suspension to start off because they're semi cheap mods and that'll just help her breath a little better lol. the et streets wont blow my rear? i'm getting mixed opinions saying they'll hook too much and blow me or they're perfect any personal experience with them and how are you launching yours with them? i figure i'll prolly do the cut out and mt's (if the reviews are good) before i go to the track next time.

Yes, I've heard if they grip when you HAMMER it, you CAN thrash the 10-bolt. I'm still getting used to them. Did 5 passes last week and cut 2-1.87 passes and a 1.91 and a 1.92. For me, those are the best 4 passes EVER (done about 70 or so total 1/4 mile runs). Yes, takes getting used to. 'Slipping' the clutch just enough AND launching. Good luck!

its hard at atco theres the wall thats maybe a whole 2ft wider than a car and they spray the opening of that, the whole opening. and its just the **** tires, there is no life left on them. street tires are bad enough with 2g launches let alone bald ones lol.
