You need to run a scan tool on it and see what codes it has. Since it's inoperative it has codes stored. Anything less and you will we wasting your time. It should work immediately provided the tps' are within range, and the tac module has power and communications with the pcm.

Who programmed your computer? When I had my computer flashed the first time the programmer assumed I was going to use a cable throttlebody. It would start but would only idle. I would check this as well as trying to pull codes.

Just FYI, your throttle should work with the key on without the engine running. Do you see any movement at all when you move the pedal?

when you turn your key on but not starting the engine, do you hear your throttle body reset itself? Like can you hear the gear drive and motor move slightly?

All I can hear is my my Walbro inline fuel pump when I turn the key to the 'on' position.

Would this be something I could see if I was looking at the tb blade and had someone else turn the key on?

Thanks!!

Okay, I unplugged the fuel pump and had my wife put the key in the 'on' position at least 10 l times while I had my eyes and ears focused on the TB..... nothing.

No movement, no sounds.

So is my throttle body dead?

Thanks!!

A local friend of mine told me his stock 2005 Tahoe did the exact same thing when his oil pressure sender went out.

The funny part about that is I am not running my sensor because I have a Auto Meter manual oil pressure gauge in its place.

Could this be my issue?

Anything's possible. Do you have the sensor to put in temporarily and try? If so, try it. Can't hurt anything.

I have my oil pressure sensor pulled out and do not have this issue.

When my TB was a dud, it would re-set the blade, but would not operate. If you can get your hands on another one to test, give it a go.
