This is the plug that goes in the back of the crank behind the piolet bearing. Does anyone know how to keep this from leaking? I messed mine up during a clutch install and put a new one in from the local auto parts store and now the new one is leaking oil. What can I do to get one in so it wont leak or get this one to stop leaking?

Did you install the correct one? Not sure if the GM one has sealer. Also, is it at the correct depth? There is a spec on depth. Note: I put the pictures below together for someone with an earlier car, so careful using the part number if you have a later car.

Wow, very helpful I did not get one from the dealer but whats the chances if I do it will also leak? Also what do you use to install it so you know it goes even?

Believe it or not, manual doesn't call out a tool. LPE and some other vendors (Katech) who do work for GM may be able to answer your questions.
