For those of you that have LS1's I need to know where the engine sits in relation to the center of the spindles and also measure side to side of the front rotor faces (basically across side to side to see where wheels will sit.. I may wind up using this for my project.

Ok I went to the junkyard and got my rotor to rotor measurement. Now I just need to know where the engine sits according to the spindle center.

you are going to have a very hard time getting the measurment you want because people set their motors all over the place. Mine sit WAY far back in the engine compartment. If you dont mind an 'about' measurement im sure someone can help..if I have some time later i will try to grab the measurement for you.

Yeah I'm aware of the 1" offsets and whatnot... like if I was to buy carshops mounts where about would it be?

i am not sure about the carshop mounts, but with my mounts from current performance the driver side head just skims the firewall.

its a 95 s10... so does the spindle wind up in the middle of the heads or closer to the rear.. The reason why I need to know is I'm thinking about using an s10 frame and suspension for the front of my Z

I dont know whats normal. We didnt have any mounts on it. Just plated it from the start as far back as we could. And down as low as possible. It has an FBody oil pan on it with the center of the crossmember cut out and tubed for clearance.

No idea. Possible but then the control arms might be right in the way.
