It's about summer time and I'm looking to finish up some bottom end work on my LS1. I got a 2 ton engine hoist and block holder but would like some detailed instructions on what to look for before and after I start the engine lift process. Any suggestions or writeups anywhere?

Lift the car just enough to get the hoist far enough under the car, unbolt the hood struts and use the engine hoist from the side.
