this might be a stupid question but here it is I was wondering if the drill mod was done to the actual steel braided line that goes in right below the bleeder for clutch hydraulics and if so why cant i just disconnect the hose there and do it in place so I dont have to tear the master cylinder out and correct me if im wrong but the end that goes into the bell housing from reserve is the end needing to be drilled

Nope, it's the end that connects to the master cylinder, NOT the end at the transmission!! Otherwise, nobody would recommend pulling the master cyl. if it wasn't necessary!!
