Default new trans, need pcm tune?

I used to have a transgo shift kit on a monster kit rebuilt trans in my 94 trans am and i ended up frying the 3-4 clutches. I just got another rebuilt trans put in and it seems like i lost some high end horsepower. I was wondering if i should get the pcm re-tuned?

Generally the trans itself unless slipping would have nil affect on HP in any range, Did you change converters at the same time?
