Default Any of you guys ran 4.8 heads?

I have a set that have been ported and milled to 58ccs with 202/1.6 valves and was wondering how they work? I was told the combustion chambers are a little better design than the ls1 heads whats your opinions?

I don't know that the chambers are any different, but yeah they're the same as 5.3L heads, which plenty of people are using once they're ported.

Like stated above, they are the same castings as used on the 5.3L. The Stage 2.5 5.3L from PRC are among the most popular we sell daily.

They do have a slightly smaller intake runner than your LS1 head, and a smaller combustion chamber also for that bump in compression!

Let us know if we can help with anything on your build. We'd be glad to earn your business!

The casting number on the heads I have is 863. Do any of the 5.3 heads have the same casting number?
