I have a 01z with longtubes and ls6 intake and other boltons. With a 342 gear do I need a stall. If so what size stall.

If you want to go faster you need a stall. 3400-3600 are the most commonly used sizes for normally driven cars.

You can never go wrong with a stall for an Auto... what are your plans for the car? If you are done modding, you don't really need a stall with what you have listed, but it wont hurt. If you are eventually going to get a cam, you want to match your stall and cam appropriately.

if you never go power adder get a 4200 or 4400

+1 agreed... 4000 stall here still with the stock 2.73 gears... absolutly love it.

wish i hadn't waited as long as i did to get it.

3000 stall and up will be fine with 3.42 gears

What is a stall going to do besides launch you..? What if your not going to race much and its a street car? Why would I want one.. ?
