Default Need Flexplate LS to 200-4R

I need a flexplate for this set-up. I've seen a couple of #'s for a GM one. I think they are the least expensive. Not sure that they will work. Has anyone done this set-up?? Thanks

200 4r will bolt right up to a lsx engine, you just need a hughes converter hub spacer or the gm flat flex plate and gm spacer and bolts(same set up you would use to bolt up a th350/400, 700r4)

the 200 4r will need the tv cable hooked up correctly to make the trans shift right

I have the flexplate that came with the motor, I think the trans was a 4L80E that came with it. Only thing is it has the 6 bolt set up for the newer converters. It is flat with a spacer on the back side that may be (I'm guessing with out looking at it) about 1" thick.
I know the trans will bolt up ok ,just want to make sure I have the correct flexp. for alingment etc. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I still need to check that the converter hub (toward the engine side) will be supported by the flexplate when it comes together.

It just dawned on me that I have your web page marked as I was looking at your S10 LS headers. I would like a set of long tubes but I don't think that they will work with my application. 1991 Mazda RX 7 with a Q-4 / L92 heads

I did the same thing, LQ4 to a 200-4r. I had to elongate the bolt holes in the flexplate to get the converter bolts to fit. This was pointed out in the GM conversion manual. Other than that, easy bolt on.

I looked at the flexplate now because I got my new converter today. I will also have to elongate the bolt holes by quite a bit. For piece of mind I plan to have them welded back up. It seems on mine that there is alot of material to remove to get the bolts in.

If you have them welded up, you may want to have the flexplate balanced. Better now than to have a vibration issue later.

What throttle body are you going to use? Some are easier to connect the TV cable to than others. The 98-99 had the small side plate and you can use the TV-EZ from Bowtie Overdrives. Any other throttle body and you have to hand build a connection point. Here is a site with a picture showing the correct geometry and that's extremely important.

I must have had the wrong flexplate because I could not get the correct distance even with the GM spacer. I finally bought the TCI flexplate for a direct bolt on fit. I would be wary of doing much grinding on the factory flexplate after reading posts of the cracking problems experienced near the bolt holes, although I'm sure others have done it with no problems.
The Bowtie Overdrives throttle body kit was a nice product with plenty of adjustment built in. Both of the parts I mentioned added quite a bit to the cost of my swap but sure made things easy. Good luck with your project.

Here is a flexplate with a dual convertor pattern. Get it and the Hughes spacer for the convertor snout. Thats all you will need to bolt the tranny up.

My set-up will be carbed, and I already have the Bowtie Overdrive TV set-up I had on my other combo. They make nice componets. LS1MCSS, can I use that flexplate, and can you post a pic of that Hughs spacer. I'll check the website as well. Thanks

I just called Raceparts after looking at it on line. It appears to have the six holes for a 4L80E converter only in the picture. I was told that this is not a dual pattern converter flexplate. You would have to elongate the bolt holes in this one as well it looks like.

I got mine off ebay and it was a dual pattern. I don't know who makes it, though. It looked like a stock flexplate. I think the 98 LS1 had the dual patterns. Here is another one on ebay.
