Ive Been Wanting To Build Up My Z28 For A Long Time And I've Been Looking Into Getting Heads, cam,lt,intake Manifold So On Im Thinking About Ms3 Or Ms4. Ls6 Stage 3 Patriot Performance Heads. Hooker Long Tubes. Fast 90/90 And All The Other Nasesites. Note That I Have 4:10 Rear End Gears Xpipe Bullet Mufflers Slp Cold Air Intake And This Is My Every Day Drive. I Hope That With Those Internals That I Can Reach 460-480 Rear Wheel Hp.

Kinda of wierd I've seen quite a few full bolt on cam only LS1's put down 400RWHP, and many H/C/I LS1's in the 450 to 480 range. Do some searching.

460-480 rwhp isn't easy but very attainable. you need to do your research, the horsepower is in the details and it will cost some $$. I would say your best bet is an after market head like AFR or TFS, remember with heads its not all about lift flow numbers. Your gonna need a ported FAST 92/92. I would say get some good headers like ARH, QTP, KOOKS also. as for a cam I would say just get a custom cam through Patrick G, it barely costs anymore than an off the shelf cam. GOOD luck man, hang out in the dyno section and see what it takes to put down the power your after, just remember dyno's aren't the most consistent thing to base horsepower off of.

oh shit I also saw this is your DD! then your definetly gonna have to put alot of money in to heads and get a custom cam probably smaller than an MS3/4 cam.

ok one more thing, I have been researching H/C/I packages for a year now and still I'm not quite decided so my advice is, take your time and do the research. talk to professionals, patrick g and predator z are very helpful guys on the board.
