on a umi adjustable torque arm kit , the up and down braces at the front (by the transmission) do they need to be tilted forward or backwards or straight up and down?

ok but when you say forward , do you mean the top of the bracket or bottom? see this is tricky. and how do we know its right and not just how they are when there installed out the box?

Top is foward, havnt had a chance to leave on it hard yet, Ive only done a few launches on street tires and well it planted them hard and then proceeded to destroy them. Ive had the car in the air fitting the prostars, and youd think id remember to look, but ill check for you thursday to be positive.

Mine is forward also. It was straight up and down with the 10 bolt, but points forward after the 9". Seems better that way. Just unbolt the bracket that bolts to the housing then adjust it til it gets to where the top points forward. Also, if you get a 3.5" driveshaft you can't use the top hole, you have to use the middle. The bolt will rub the DS on the top one. Just letting you and anyone else know about that so you don't scratch the hell out of a new shaft.
