The Vette is getting some upgrades so I needed a daily driver....Just picked it up on Friday, had it tuned on Saturday at MTI. It has the 6.2 in it with the 6-speed auto, Navigation, Heated Seats, Sunroof, etc...etc..... Where you at WildBill!

what the hell Nick, you bought something other than WHITE? Nice trucks, kinda wish I had just bought one of those instead of my gas-hog '08 Duramax.

Yeah, I only like white on Vettes. White trucks look too much like "work trucks". What lind of mileage do you get on the Duramax?

Wazzz up nick I heard you gained 40 hp with the tune. Thats badass man. Cant wait for the tune for these tundras. Hey man if I just didnt put these 20's and heavy ass 33 inch nittos I would love to line em up. hahah but the rims and tores made a big diff in my acceleration. Im sure we will still race though. hahah nice truck man. Way better than kennys. hahah

i'm not really digging on most of the new trucks (from any manufacturer) from the past several years.....there's zero reason for the bodies on them to be so tall that people can't see where the hell they're going when they're backing up, because the body/bed gets in the way of being able to see out the rearview mirrors, or even when they turn around and look out the rear glass. fucking ugly-ass Avalanches were the start of this stupid craze, and i hope they end it soon (i know, fat chance of that happening....). almost as bad as SUV's.

i've seen far too many people almost get run over because the retard driving these tall-ass trucks can't see behind them, and they almost back into other vehicles because of it....the only thing stopping them is the car laying on their horn to let them know they're behind them.

i much prefer the late 80's/early to mid 90's style bodies on trucks, especially the Chevy/GMC ones.....best body style, by far. if they had the engine choices that they have now, with these older body styles, it would be perfect, IMO.

Not sure if the OP got them, but the Denali (and many new trucks) have a rearview camera option. :) But I get what you're saying.

Nick, do a search on performancetrucks.net. I believe there are a few folks that have hit high 13's in the NNBS Denali with simple bolt-ons and a tune. Nice truck by the way...

15 mpg unloaded (usually 50/50 hwy and city, 70-75 mph on the hwy)
11 mpg pulling an 18' open car hauler and 3400 lb car.

By comparison, my previous two Dodges (5.9L) saw 17.6 unloaded, 14.3 towing.

Anyone want to buy an '08 Duramax with 6K miles on it? :chug:

I wouldn't expect to get any better gas mileage with a gas truck than what your current truck is getting. I know my Avalanche averaged 14-15mpg all the time.

Our '07 GMC 5.3L got 17.2 mpg avg. My '07 Escalade 6.2L AWD averaged 15.1 mpg

Plus, 87 octane is much less than diesel.

Damn, my Blazer gets about 17 avg, 50/50 City/HWY mix.

My truck with lots of extra weight (electric steps, audio system, 20s/35s, etc.) gets ~15 mpg mixed and has gotten a best of 20 on the highway. I'd say that's pretty good considering the weight.

Nine Ball, if it was only white or silver. I could never own a dark colored 4 door truck. It takes me 2 hours for a simple wash and dry on my truck.

Mine gets about 18.7 on the highway but I use 93 octane only so it's not so bad. I'm not planning on pulling anything with it so I'm happy with it.

First gear does nothing but spin the rear tires so it's a fun truck as well. :D

Did you have it tuned? If so who did it. I have a 07 6.0 that needs a tune. I wish the Denali would have come out a couple of months earlier than they did so I could have gotten one of them instead.
