Default question on k-member

i was wondering if adding a tubular k-member would allow you to remove the oil pan with the k-member still in the car? and also what brand is the best?

I've had the oil pan off my LT-1 with the stock k-member in place. All I had to do is loosen the motor mounts and lift the engine about an inch or so.

looks like the pan would drop without removing the k member.looking at mine. umi double tubed and if you remove the rack and pinion you have about 2 2 1/2 inches of room.

You still have to jack the motor up a bit off the k-frame, even if it's tubular(Spohn). I did when I swapped rod bolts.

Why are you needing to drop the oil pan?
