Cam Choice for Whipple 3.3 on 434" SBC
Hi All,
I had a custom Comp grind done for the 434 I'm building (forged, 9.5:1 CR). It's a solid roller, 242/248@.050" (net lift with roller rockers .603/.609") on a 115LSA. That would compare to a hydraulic roller of 234/239@.050".
I had this cam done with a centrifugal blower (Vortech V-2 T-trim) in mind, but then I got bitten by the Whipple bug and bought the 3.3L head unit (W200AX).
Now I'm trying to get some expert inputs on this cam choice.
Is it the best cam for a fixed displacement blower setup? If not, where could it be better?
A few more details:
Motown block, 4.155" bore X 4.00" stroke
Ported Edelbrock E-Tec 200 heads
Ported Edelbrock Super Victor EFI single plane manifold
KB Forged pistons, Hellfire rings
Holley 950 Pro EFI with wideband O2, 2 Bar MAP
LT Headers to true 3" duals
Hughes Stage III 4L80E, paddle shift
FJO Racing Alky Injection System
Planning for 12-14# of boost after the large FMIC
72lb. RC-Engineering injectors
Plenty of fuel
Blower will be mounted on the passenger side of the motor
Normal redline = 6500rpm but able to spin to 7K
Vehicle weight ~3750 w/me in it
Thanks for any help.
Jim
