Default Rear suspension install problems..PLEASE HELP

Ok, this isnt my first time doing a rear suspension on a f-body, its actually my 4th. But I ran into 2 problems tonight that I never have before. First off, I tried to loosen the top nut on the rear shock and the shock rod was spinning with it. All the ones I have replaced in the past came undone real easiely, and without holding some other place to loosen. Second, I tryed to take the rear spings out, and last time I did it I remember just jacking up one side, and taking the spring out by hand. Tonight it wouldnt move a bit. I know the car has a Spohn torque arm, but i wasnt sure if that was the problem or not. I was so pissed that I couldnt replace ether, and usually its about a hour for the entire rear, and its good. Any if you can give me about ether one would be nice guys.

The rear has to be PAST full droop to get the springs out, and an impact will make quick work of the shock nuts.

you have to use an allen wrench and an open end wrench for the top.

as for the springs, i would jack up the car and put it on jack stands, then jack the rear end up and unbolt the lower shock mounts then slowly lower the rear axle down until you can remove the springs by hand.

X2. You have to do both at the same time on the rear springs

Ok, I will try a impact on the top bolt tonight, and will do the jacking up the car, then rear, then remove the lower shock mounts. If it works I will let you know...THANKS.
