Default Make your bets!!!!! RESULTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm finally getting my car dyno tuned, I'll be taking it to Fran at Race Proven Motorsports in Delaware. So I was wondering if anyone would like to make any guesses........

The car is a 1998 Firebird Formula 6 speed with 79,000

Mods are:
Lunati VooDoo-222/228-.567"/.567"-113
Dynatech Race Headers 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 though bullets and then dumped.
3.73 Gears stock 10 bolt.
Paper filter
SLP Lid
Smooth Bellow
P&P TB
P&P MAF
Stock LS1 Intake(I know, I know, I will be getting a LS6 soon, just not by the time I get it tuned)
255 Fuel Pump.
!EGR
!A.I.R
TR6 Plugs

The car put down 359.3 RWHP and 353.4RWTQ last year on a Dynojet untuned.

Now for the fun stuff, I plan on using my NOS plate system, 150 shot jets, I do have a NOS mini controller but might not ramp or time anything on it. Just a straight shot.

Go ahead a make your guess for N/A and juiced. Any recommandations are also very welcomed.............

You may consider holding off on the tune until you get a different intake..just a suggestion.. A car with those kinds of mods my need to be REtuned once more air (from a large intake) is CAPABLE of making it into the engine. But still should be up there around 380 hp / 375 tq... nitrous ehhhh 510 hp/515 tq

good luck!

what do we win if we get the closest to the numbers???

I would wait but my emissions/inspection runs out this month and I need to get that junk turned off because I don't have any of that stuff hooked up, that way it can pass and I can get my butt down to O.C. next month.

Well the results are in I'll get dyno graphs up later today......

ON A MUSTANG DYNO

Best N/A was 352RWHP/351RWTQ

An that was only being pulled up to 5900 or so, for some reason the graph would just flatten out, tuner blamed it on weak and 3 year old 918 springs that could be making valve float. So I will be fixing that.

Now for the big one...

Best 125 shot N.O.S. plate run- 471RWHP/516RWTQ

I figure if I get my new springs and an LS6 intake go back down for retune, I should see some really good results, but I am very happy with the numbers and the way it drives now considering what it made on a dynojet last year.

BIG THANKS to Race Proven Motorsports and Chummma for the great work!!!!

I wasn't too far off. Decent results, now get some better springs in there for safety. I'd hate to hear that your valves and pistons had a kissing session. New springs = cheap insurance.

thanks man, ya new springs for sure, I think after my springs and the LS6 I'll sit her on a dynojet and see what she does.

I was pretty close to what you actually made. Little high on HP, little low on TQ. Good hit bro.

Decent numbers but...Why in the HELL would you spray a car that you "believe" to have weak valve springs???
