I had over 1/2 tank of gas and the car so it wasn't that,
and the battery/alternator are fine,
it just felt like the gas was cut off 'cause it started, and the idle went very low, so I tried to give it gas to keep it on but it just shut off!!!!!!
hasn't done it since so I can't think of what's up.

It sounds like the car maybe cut off because of the cam...and while it was fumbling around for the idle the oil pressure/etc looked really low, and triggered the check gages light to come on. If it is fine now don't worry about it.
