this is the third vehicle ive done this in and the first problem ive ever had with one. I put a manual lockup switch on my 200r4 in my monte. I just have the 12v going to the solenoid and the appropriate wire grounded. I had this setup the same way on two other vehicles that i removed the computer out of. The thing was working like a charm for about 20 miles, then it stuck closed. If you shut the car off, it will open back up eventually im guessing becuase the lack of pressure in the tranny. But you hook it back up and lock it and will stick closed, even with power removed from it. Im guessing its just a weak solenoid, ive replaced them before. I was just making sure there is nothing else that could be happening such as trash or whatever making it hang shut, im not much on transmissions.
