Default LS2 chain good for high hp?

What timing chain are you guys going with over 800rwhp? I know the doubles are the strongest for obvious reason but can I get away with an LS2 timing set on my LSX? I want to use the QTP 2 part timing cover for easy cam swaps and it doesn't work with the thicker double timing chains. Any info appriciated.

Wish I had Pics of the LS2 chain that just broke in this guys under 500 HP vette (may have been a bad batch or something), it was interesting how it broke, the chain links itself didn't break, the barrels came apart at the seams! I personally would not use it in a high HP car regardless if some folks have no issues, if it breaks, buy a new motor! There are good single chains out there and they are not that expensive, JMO of course.

LS2 heavy duty chain from scoggin dickey parts ....its like $37 bucks and its stronger than stock for sure. The side plates on the chain are about twice as thick as stock. and like mentioned it wont break and will hold 900rwhp so you cant beat that....if any chain you have breaks, whether it be double or single, you most likely have bigger problems...

I know, number straight out of the GMPP catalog, but when I got it, it came in a GMPP box/bag and said high rpm on it.
