C'mon guys... help me pick a cam!
want a new cam for my stroker... 383cid 4.00 X 3.905 Lunati kit. Present cam is a Comp XE lobe 232/232 .575/.575 on a 114lsa +4*. This cam peaks at about 6000 rpms and starts to fall off quickly at 6400 rpm. I'm looking for a cam that will peak at 6200-6300 rpms with more duration that will have my optimum shift point at around 6600- 6700 . I was thinking of a XER 238/238 .605/.605 on a 112 lsa with +2* or +4* ground in. Other suggestions or opinions?

We've run a 238/238 113lsa XER in the 396ci offset-ground stroker (6.0L block) in Jason98TA's 99 C5. It peaked about 6400 I think, but its also a bigger bore/less stroke than a 383ci.

Re: C'mon guys... help me pick a cam!
I just read an article in popular hotroding about long strokes loving a tighter lobe seperation. Hell, I run a 110lsa 224 cam in my stock headed stock bottom end 346 and make 405 rwhp and 406 rwtq. I'd try your same cam with more lift on a 108-110lsa. I will bet you money that it makes more power then any of the above mentioned cams on a 112 or higher lsa, regardless of duration.
